Photovision Magazine - Portfolio Submission Guidelines
Photovision is reviewing work for publication in any area of photography, as long as the original is made with film, this includes prints made any process, darkroom, platinum/palladium, gum bichromate, carbon, and now includes digital output, such as Fuji Archive or Ultrachrome prints.
You may submit 10 to 40 color or black-and-white transparencies, no larger than 8x10 inches. Or you can send 8 to 20 color or black-and-white prints, no larger than 8x10 inches. Also include an image checklist, statement, and a resume. Submissions from the U.S. must include a SASE or the portfolio will not be returned. Foreign submissions only need to include a self-addressed return envelope, we will pay the return postage. For initial inquiries, do not send electronic submissions via email. You may, however, send a CD-ROM or Zip Drive with your images saved in Windows format. Except on rare occasions we do not look at web sites.
If we decide to reproduce your work we will hold it indefinitely until we have space in a future issue. This may be anywhere from two months to two years, or longer. PLEASE DO NOT CALL TO INQUIRE as we constantly receive submissions and only have room for three portfolios per issue. If you would like verification that your work was received send it in a manner that provides you with proof of delivery.
About two months before the work is scheduled to appear we will notify you. At that time you will be able to submit newer work, should you wish to do so. You will also be asked for a concise artist's statement including a short biography and any other information you wish to share, such as how to contact you, purchase your work, etc.. If a third party writes your statement we will publish it as an essay by the author of the piece, rather than an artist's statement.
Unless otherwise agreed upon, we purchase first time world publication rights of the artistís statement/essay/interview. We do not purchase any photo copyrights, that belongs to you and is noted in the publication. We do reserve the right to post any work and accompanying statement accepted for publication on our web site. This will result in additional publicity for you, as well.
If the above conditions are acceptable to you, please submit your work to:

THE WORK MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A SIGNED COPY OF THIS FORM OR IT WILL BE RETURNED. We look forward to the opportunity to view your images.
